How to change desktop background (wallpaper)

 

Question: Can I use different colors to back the Change color paints?
Answer: Yes you can. The darker the color you put behind the change color paints, the better effects you will receive. Using a lighter color, you will need to apply more change color paint before backing the paint than you would using a solid black as the backer.

Question: What do I use to back the chome airbrush paint?
Answer: A waterbased paint such as Createx will work to back the Mirror Chrome paint. Always test the chrome and waterbased backer on a scrap piece to verify the results you will receive before painting your final project.

Question: How do I use the Pre-Prep when using liquid masking?
Answer: Every time you lift a bit of liquid mask from your shell, spray a little bit of pre-prep each time. The liquid mask will leave a thin oily residue. You can spray it over Spaz Stix and most other paints with no problems. Without it, you might end up with a marble effect from the paint clinging to the residue.

Question: How good does the mirror chrome look on an 'exterior' applications (Any mirror effect)?
Answer: Yes, ti will give you a mirror effect depending on how smooth your surface is that you are beginning with. You will want your surface to be as smooth as glass for best results

Question: What type of paint is Spaz Stix paint?
Answer: Most of our paints are made of High Quality Acrylic Lacquer. There are a few products such as the 00100 Airbrush Acrylic Enamel Black & 00109 Aerosol Acrylic Enamel Black. And our 90109 Ultra Shine Aerosol Acrylic Enamel Clear Coat.

Question: Do I need to thin Spaz Stix paints?
Answer: Spaz Stix paints come ready to spray straight form the bottle. If you feel that you need to thin any of the paints, only add in a drop or two of a high quality lacquer thinnner and test spray it. This way, you will not accidentially overthin the paint.

Question: What type of clear coat do I use to clear over the mirror chrome paint for exterior applications?
Answer: We recommend using a non harsh waterbased clear coat. Be sure to test on a scrap piece before painting your final project so you cna practice your technique and know what results to expect.

Question: Can we use the change color paint on wood?
Answer: Yes you can. We recommend laying down a primer to ensure adhesion and a smooth coating before hand.

Question: Where can I find detailed instructions for the Black Aerosol?
Answer: Gloss Black / Backer Aerosol Directions Panel. 1) Use Surface Pre-Prep prior to painting to remove any dirt and oils such as fingerprints. 2) Let can warm to room temperature (70 degrees farenheight) 3) Under 50% humidity offers best results. 4) Cover surrounding items to protect from overspray. 5) Shake until the ball inside can breaks loose. Continue to shake for two minutes, swirling the container so the balls travel around the bottom groove of the can. 6) After each minute of spraying, REPEAT shaking procedures for ten seconds. 7) Spray 8" to 12" from surface. 8) Test spray for distance prior to painting. If too far away, coverage could be uneven. 9) Spray in thin, even coats instead of one heavy coat. 10) Apply coats until desired coverage is achieved. 11) Clean the valve after painting by holding can upside down and depressing tip for two seconds. 12) Never spray with the valve partly open. The valve must be pressed all the way down. 13) If using as a backer, skip surface Pre-Prep treatment.

Question: How do I change my desktop background (wallpaper)?
Answer: On the downloads page click on the link that represents the size of image you want. When that image loads – right-click on the image and choose "Set as Desktop Background" from the drop down menu. It's that simple... you're done!
